Babysitters Course

Starting Tuesday, September 24th 2024, the Hartsdale Fire District will once again offer its annual Babysitters Course. Over the past 52 years, over 1,447 babysitters have graduated from this course.  The 7-night course will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm September 24th thru October 17th (or the 24th due to several scheduling conflicts).

Please click on the application link and fill it out. Completed applications can be submitted online or printed and dropped off at HFD Headquarters located at 300 West Hartsdale Avenue. 

When you hire a babysitter who has been trained by the Hartsdale Fire District, you can be confident knowing that your babysitter has successfully completed a specialized training course in how to care for your child, deal with emergency situations, and the awareness to recognize when something is wrong and call 911.

As a public service, a list of the current and available babysitters is kept on file at HFD Headquarters.  If you are interested in a hiring a babysitter from this list, please stop by the firehouse or call the desk, leave your name, address, and contact info, and someone will get back to you.
