Vehicle Slams into Storefront on Central Ave!

Friday 8/2/24 at 0835hrs Hartsdale Fire was dispatched to a vehicle into a building on South Central Ave. Hartsdale units were already operating at an Inside Gas Incident in the Poet's Corners section of town. HFD Engine 170 along with Greenville Squad 15 and Rescue 29 responded. HFD units 2172, E-169, TL-15 and Rescue 56 responded on a slight delay while the gas incident was being mitigated and turned over to Con Ed.

Upon arrival of Greenville Car 2151 the vehicle was reported to be 50ft into the store with the front driver's side hanging over the basement stairwell. HFD and GFD members immediately made patient contact and confirmed no injuries. The occupants were told to remain in the vehicle while it was stabilized. Car 2172 arrived with the remaining Hartsdale Units. The vehicle was stabilized utilizing a grip-hoist. The occupants were quickly removed, evaluated, and ultimately refused medical attention. FD members assisted the tow company with vehicle removal, and then returned to service.
