At 1231Hrs Hartsdale, Fairview, and Greenville were dispatched as Squad 6 Technical Rescue assets to the Tappan Zee Bridge for a crane collapse with a worker down a hole. With multiple Rockland and Westchester departments responding the units were requested to the staging area. Fairview Rescue 3, Hartsdale Engine 170, Car 2174 with Collapse Trailer 6, Greenville Squad 15 and SSU-15 responded. Units were placed in staging at Tarrytown Ladder 78's firehouse on White Plains Rd. Upon removal of the victim all special units we released by command. Engine 170 was utalized to go set up a Helicopter landing zone in Tarrytown. Engine 170 remained on location until released by command at 1500Hrs.
