At just after 7pm on Saturday February 6th Hartsdale Fire Units were requested to respond to North Central Ave and Jane Street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 170 responded and took up a blocking position protecting the scene and established scene lighting. The purpose of the blocking is to protect the civilians who were injured as well as fire, police and ems personnel who would be operating at the scene. HFD members began treating three occupants of the vehicles who reported injures while simultaneously disconnecting the batteries to the vehicles. HFD members assisted Greenburgh Police with establishing a flare pattern to get traffic moving with one lane in each direction utilizing the north bound lanes. HFD and GPD members stood-by until all occupants were evaluated by GPD EMS. Once the vehicles were removed all fire and police units returned to service.
