Retired Deputy Chief William Raftery served on a seven person panel to analyze and revise the Fire Science Associates Degree curriculum at Tidewater Community College in Virginia. The panel was guided by a team of facilitators from Ohio State University. TCC has several campuses in the greater Norfolk/Virginia Beach region of Virginia.
